NASHVILLE, TENN (November 3, 2010) – There will be no mud-slinging ads nor public debates among the country stars with music videos vying for GAC’s Top 50 Videos of the Year.  Instead, the network is letting fans select their favorites through online voting that will remain open until November 30.

More than 130 videos are being considered for the year-end list and titles/artists appear in alphabetical order on the GAC website.  Videos that were released between Nov. 1, 2009 and Oct. 31, 2010 and added into rotation on GAC’s playlist are eligible.  Fans can log on to http://bit.ly/gactvtop50 to vote once a day for up to ten videos; while there they can also enter for a chance to win $5,000 in cash and a trip for two to the scenic Mississippi gulf coast.

2010 Top 50 Videos Voting Facts & Figures:
130+ videos from 96 unique artists are nominated.
30 artists have multiple videos nominated.
Zac Brown Band and Jewel lead with 4 nominated videos each.
Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts and Toby Keith have 3 nominated videos each.

Great American Country airs more music videos than any other fully-distributed cable network.  According to the Mediabase monitoring system, GAC has aired 53,744 music videos this year as of October 30th.

Results of the fan voting will be revealed in a year-end countdown special set to premiere  Monday, December 27, 8:00 p.m./Eastern.
