Music-Video-Madness-2011-300-01In the spirit of the most exciting and most interactive sporting event in the country, Roughstock has selected sixteen of the hottest music videos currently on the charts and seeded them in a music video countdown.  The seeds were ordered in the order of their Country Aircheck radio chart placement (as of March 10).

How it works:

There are four divisions and two contests in each division through this weekend.  Voting will be counted for each video through this weekend and then the sixteen videos will be pared down to eight winning videos.  The top two videos from each of the four divisions will compete to win their division next weekend. After the voting ends that Sunday, we will pare down the division winners of division 1 and three to compete to for the right to compete in the final contest against the division 2 or 4 winner.  Our final contest will then determine what music video wins 2011’s first annual Music Video Madness presented by Roughstock.

You can win too:

In addition to supporting your favorite music videos from your favorite artists, you will have the chance to enter to win one of five prize packs which feature stuff from EACH of the sixteen artists featured in this contest.  You can enter the contest as much as you want but only after you have voted for your favorite videos (Voting is once per person, per round - to keep it fair).  The five winners will be announced when the winning video is announced in 4 weeks.

Good Luck!

May the best music video win!  Enjoy and have fun!

LEE BRICE PARTNERS WITH NRACOUNTRY

nracountry_logoNashville, TN (March 17, 2011) – Three-time ACM nominee Lee Brice is the latest addition to the NRACountry family of country music stars.  NRACountry is a partnership between the National Rifle Association and the hottest talent in country music.  Lee joins fellow country musicians Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, Justin Moore and Blake Shelton among others.

NRACountry held its kickoff event in June during the 2010 CMA Music Festival with a sporting clay shoot fundraiser, which raised $30,000 towards the Middle Tennessee flood relief efforts.  It is charity events like these that encouraged Lee Brice to join the NRACountry team.  “After seeing the strong ties that NRACountry has to charity work and the classic American values they’re celebrating, of course I agreed to take part,” Brice stated, “I stand behind their work and am excited to begin this partnership.”

“Lee Brice is a great addition to the NRACountry family.  He is a talented star whose music moves millions of people across the globe.  Stateside, Lee’s legions of fans are inspired by his steadfast principles and love of country. Lee Brice's music, his words and his deeds will inspire a new generation of young Americans to stand up for freedom,” said Wayne LaPierre, NRA's executive vice president.

Niemann_Farr_Brice11111Nashville, TN (March 11, 2011) – Country music newcomer Tyler Farr has been announced as the opening act for the highly anticipated Higher Education Tour that kicked off with a sold-out show last night in Columbia, MO.  He will join the previously announced co-headliners, 3-time ACM Award nominee Lee Brice and Sea Gayle/Arista Nashville chart-topper Jerrod Niemann, as they visit college markets around the country.

Farr has been writing for publishing powerhouse SonyATV/Monument Publishing this past year as well as touring with Colt Ford.  Farr grew up hunting and fishing in a small town in Missouri, which provided the inspiration for his songs like “That’s What They’re Bitin’ On” and “Camouflage,” the title track to his digital EP, available now.  Be sure to keep an eye out for more exciting Tyler Farr announcements coming soon.

“Tyler is a good friend, an extremely talented singer-songwriter and one hell of a good time,” explains Lee Brice, “I can’t wait to get him out on the road and show our fans!”
